The Khối Vest is a seamless, top-down v-neck vest with asymmetrical color blocking, and unisex sizing! Designed for an oversized fit with 6-8” / 15.2-20.3cm positive ease, and dropped shoulders. There are 2 versions a full-length boxy oversized fit and a cropped version with cut in shoulders. This is a perfect garment for learning (or practicing!) intarsia in the round.

You only need one skein of the contrast color for all sizes, whether your blocks are the same or different. We want you to play with color!

Yarn: The Wandering Flock DK Merino (DK weight; 100% SW Merino; 230yd / 210m per 100g skein)
Main Color - Long Vest: 3, 3, 3 (4, 4, 5) 5, 6, 6 7 skeins
Color shown: Khaki
Main Color - Cropped Vest: 2, 2, 3 (3, 3, 4) 4, 5, 5 6 skeins
Color shown: Icy Lavender
Contrast Color: 1 skein for all sizes and colors
Colors shown: Yollo; Rust, Fools Gold

Gauge: 21 sts & 33 rounds = 4” / 10cm over stockinette stitch on US 6 / 4.0mm needles after blocking.

Needles: US 6 / 4.0mm circular needle for working in the round and for small circumferences in the round
US 5 / 3.75mm circular needle for working in the round and for small circumferences
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: 3 removable stitch markers, tapestry needle, scrap yarn or cord

Please note that Sizes 8,9 and 10 were not test knitted, as we did not receive any applicants to test knit those sizes, if you would like to knit these sizes please reach out to us at hello@thewanderingflock.com and we’re happy to offer you a copy our pattern to test.
